Passengers express dissatisfaction after being left stranded by CAMAIR-CO

Passengers of Cameroon Airlines Corporation, CAMAIR-CO have decried the treatment they’ve received from the service.

Talking to MMI, a passenger said he was at the airport at 7AM Friday, for a 10:40AM flight, but most passengers got stranded at the end of the day.

With no flight available, the passengers were told to wait till 5PM.

“We spent the whole day at the airport till 5PM when we started checking in. After about 15 people had checked in we were told the plane was full” the passenger stated.

This he explained, almost led to a fight as the passengers asked for a refund of their money to no avail. They were also denied lodging he explained, leaving passengers more disgruntled.

The recent complaint regarding the airline company is not the first of its kind as it has been called out several times for poor customer and even flight service.

In May after a series of failures, Louis Georges Njipendi Kouotou, former board chair of the Cameroon Airlines Company was named its new Director General, while Max Constant Mve was made his assistant.

They were appointed by the Head of State President Paul Biya, and installed by the Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe, now new board chair of Camair-Co, during the extra ordinary board session. Many however say the change in leadership of the company is not helping issues as the situation keeps getting worse.
