Pastor Adeboye predicts that Jesus will return on October 1st.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, said that Jesus Christ might return to the world on October 1 in a year that is yet to be known.

The Christian leader spoke in a video that played at the homecoming reception ceremony organised for Sharafa Tunji-Ishola, the recently recalled Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.

President Muhammadu Buhari made Ishola, a former Minister of Mines and Steel, an ambassador in January 2021, and President Bola Tinubu recalled him on August 31, 2023.

Pastor Adeboye, in a video recording, eulogised Ishola for inviting him to the Nigeria House in the UK, making him the first ambassador to do so, during the homecoming reception.

“I have visited many of these nations, and ambassadors have welcomed me. This is the first time an ambassador will invite me to the UK. Even though the Redeemed Christian Church of God originated here in Britain in 1983, this is the first time I have ever been invited to the Nigerian house in the UK,” Adeboye said.

He continued, “I have always wondered what the Nigeria House in the UK looks like, so this is what it looks like, and I am very grateful for the honour.”

The clergyman explained that Nigeria’s fathers of democracy chose October 1 as Independence Day, with God behind the scenes.

“Nigeria holds a very special status. October 1 is the most amazing date in the Biblical calendar, and it will amaze you to know that. Many Bible scholars believe that Jesus will most likely come back to earth on October 1, but we don’t know the year. This day is called the feast of trumpets.”

“The Bible states that Jesus will come back with the sound of the trumpet, and the feast of trumpet is set to begin on October 1st.”

“Now when you consider that, you will know that God was behind the scenes when our fathers (some of whom are now gone) chose 1st October as the day for our independence, and this could explain why Nigeria has experienced so much turbulence. Sometimes, when you think that Nigeria will no longer exist by tomorrow, you wake up the next day and still discover that Nigeria is still standing.”

“I firmly believe that Nigeria has a glorious future, no matter what is happening today. I want to encourage you that our nation, Nigeria, has a very special interest in God,” Adeboye concluded.
