Pickpocketer roasted alive in Maroua

A pickpocketer in Maroua, Far North Region of Cameroon today met his demise.

He was roasted alive by angry commercial bike riders.

Like is common practice in many towns across the country, the pickpocketer snatched a telephone and attempted to make away on his bike but was chased and apprehended by commercial bike riders.

Once caught, they gave justice no chance, taking matters into their own hands.

They had him well beaten before setting him and his bike on fire as a crowd watched on.

The commercial bike riders, MMI gathered, expressed their joy, citing the incident as retribution following the killing of one of theirs.

Their deceased colleague, a few days back had been attacked by men of the underworld and his throat slit. They made away with his motorbike.

Angered, other commercial bike riders staged a protest, blocking roads in the town, and were only taken off the streets by the forces of law and order.
