Population intercepts hit and run soldier in Buea

A soldier has been intercepted in Buea.

The hit and run driver was stopped by the population after he reportedly hit an elderly man alongside a little girl in the babouti neighborhood in Buea.

The incident took place in the evening of Friday May 27.

According to sources, the soldier dressed in mufti, was driving down the hill when he suddenly hit the elderly man and the young girl.

Instead of checking on the victims as expected by many, he drove off.

As he was intercepted by the population around his residence, the soldier revealed his vehicle suffered a break failure which resulted to the incident.

A bitter exchange ensued and the soldier was asked to foot the hospital bills of the victims.
