President Biya Appoints New Hospital Directors

The Cameroon Head of State, President Paul Biya, has appointed new directors of some state-owned hospitals in the country in a decree released Monday, November 25.

Among the newly appointed is Essomba Noël Emmanuel. He is now the new Director General of the Yaoundé General Hospital.

President Biya also appointed the North West Regional Delegate for Public Health, Dr Kingsley Che Soh, as the new Director of the Yaoundé Gyneco-Obstetrics Hospital.

Meanwhile, Ndjientcheu Vincent de Paul is the new Director General of the Yaoundé University Hospital Centre.

At the moment there is no presidential communication as to who replaces Dr. Che Soh as Director of the Bamenda Regional Hospital.

Dr. Che Soh has been at the fore of medical interventions in the North West Region at large, where the protracted Anglophone armed conflict has caused a health crisis in the region.

He comes to Yaounde with enormous experience in dealing with medical emergencies and patients in traumatic conditions.
