Principal of GHS Lus Dies Mysteriously on Journey to School

Mr. Ngala Peter Tasing, the Principal of Government High School (GHS) Lus in Nwa Subdivision, was found dead. He is reported to have died under mysterious circumstances while on his way to the school. The Divisional Delegate of Secondary Education for Donga Mantung, Tarlishi Oliver Yinyu, announced the news on behalf of the Regional Delegate of Secondary Education for the North West Region and the Minister of Secondary Education in Yaounde.

His body was found by villagers lying by the road, about 100 m away from his motorcycle, on October 30, 2024. There are concerns about what might have happened during the late principal’s journey after MMI obtained video footage showing him lying motionless on the ground.

As of now, no details are available regarding the cause of his death, and there are no witnesses to clarify the events leading up to his tragic demise given that it happened along a bushy path. The mysterious circumstances surrounding his passing have prompted deep concern within the local community and among the educational authorities in the region.

The education community in the North West Region is in mourning following the sudden loss of Mr. Ngala, remembered as a dedicated and respected educator. The shocking incident’s circumstances ought to be the subject of an investigation.
