The leader of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement, CRM, has addressed a condolence message to the family of Paul Eric Kingue, his political family, and the population of Njombe Penja following the demise of the politician.
In a message Monday, March 22nd, 2021, Prof. Maurice Kamto attests that Paul Eric Kingue contributed significantly as a politician to national resistance against poor governance and non-respect of human rights in Cameroon.
“I named Paul Eric Kingue director of my campaign team during the 2018 presidential election. A position he held brilliantly. His engagement to see the will of Cameroonians in the ballot boxes respected after the proclamation of the results earned him close to nine months in arbitrary detention beside me in Yaounde,” Maurice Kamto stated.
To Professor Maurice Kamto, “… he was also unpredictable and this manifested after our release from prison…”
Despite this, Maurice Kamto has called on militants of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement political party to respect the legacy and contribution of Paul Eric Kingue as a politician during this difficult moment for his family, his political party, and the population of Njombe Penja municipality.
