PWD of Bamenda stranded in Cameroon


Players and officials of Public Works Department -PWD social club of Bamenda are still in Cameroon 24 hours after their announced date of departure to South African.

Programed to leave Cameroon on Wednesday December 2nd , team press officer of PWD of Bamenda writing to Mimi Mefo Info this morning says “…we are still in Cameroon. The team will be travelling to South Africa today Thursday.”

” After the match in Limbe, the team had to sort out visa issues of some players so PWD wrote to CAF to postpone the match to Sunday “, Afeseh Apong stated.

The second leg African Football Champion league match against Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa earlier scheduled for Friday December 4th has been postponed to Sunday December 6th 2020 .

Some football pundits think the delay can have a negative physiological impact on players of PWD of Bamenda. The Abakwa boys have an obligation to win the match in South Africa to maintain a comfortable position in the champion league.

PWD of Bamenda remain determined to put up an excellent performance in South Africa despite a defeat they suffered in Limbe last week.
