Race For Hope, Pawa, Plenty Money

Orange Cameroon will support this year’s edition of the Mt. Cameroon Race, which will take place from February 24 to 25, 2023, in Buea, the capital city of the South West region.

The news was made public during the press conference held on 1 February 2023, which marked the launch of activities for this year’s edition. The press briefing organised by the Cameroon Athletics Federation and Orange Cameroon brought together close to 40 journalists from the region.

It is important to note that this edition is particularly special as it is coloured by the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Mountain Race.

For this historic 50th anniversary, about 600 participants from 13 countries are expected.

The celebration will run over 2 days as follows :

  • Friday 24: an opening ceremony at the Molyko stadium (12h), then an evening show with KO-C followed by the election of Miss Mount Cameroon 2023 at the esplanade of the Molyko stadium (4 PM)
  • Saturday 25: start of the race and the popular sports walk at the Molyko stadium (6 am)

The city of Buea will clearly vibrate to the echo of the race this weekend. You will be highly welcome to this special event!
