Muslim faithful in Ndop, Ngoketunjia Division, Northwest region of Cameroon have called on Allah to restore normalcy in the division and the region as a whole.

This was during a prayer session, Friday, April 21, 2023, as part of activities to celebrate the feast of Ramadan.

They also prayed for development to come to Bamunka and the entire region.

MMI gathered that the day went on unperturbed despite the fact that separatists operate in that area. According to those celebrating, the feast was not political and as such, did not get any challenge from the actors in the ongoing Anglophone conflict:

“they celebrated with us too. Remember that there are also Muslims amongst separatist fighters who were out celebrating the day too,” Adamu, a Muslim in Ndop told MIMI.

The was attended by some top government officials like Njingum Musa who is from the division, who joined the others as different forms of cultural displays by the youths were presented.
