Rebecca Enonchong Features on Forbes Afrique’s Top 50 Women

Serial tech entrepreneur, Cameroonian-born Rebecca Enonchong, is among Africa’s top 50 prominent women, according to Forbes.

She has been ranked by Forbes Afrique in its latest magazine, which listed women who are creating impact in Africa.

This is not the first time Rebecca Enonchong has appeared on Forbes’ list of prominent African women.

Over the years, she has been playing a vital role in shaping technology not only in Cameroon but also in Africa and beyond.

Born of a Cameroonian father and an American mother, Rebecca Enonchong has become a force to reckon with when it comes to technology.

Her present glory has evolved over time. She schooled in Cameroon before relocating to the United States of America at the age of 15.

Her career started from humble beginnings. Enonchong said, when she arrived in the US, her first job was that of a newspaper vendor. 

From moving door to door to sell newspaper subscriptions, she has grown up to become a tech guru.

In 1999, she founded AppsTech, a tech application solutions company dealing with clients in more than 50 countries.

She is also a board member of Active Spaces, a tech company in Cameroon that is part of the country’s Silicon Mountain—a tech community that helps young people develop, showcase and market their innovations.

Accolades Pour in Rebecca Enonchong

Following her appearance on Forbes, she has received praises from some Cameroonians.

“Your leadership as the CEO of Africatechie and your tireless efforts in championing technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship across Africa continue to be a beacon of inspiration.”

Barrister Balla added that Rebecca Enonchong’s inclusion in this prestigious list is a testament to her impact, resilience, and unwavering commitment to empowering startups and fostering digital transformation.

“Cameroon and the entire African continent take pride in your achievements, and we celebrate this milestone with you. Wishing you continued success in shaping the future of African tech!” he said.

To Barrister Akere Muna, who is aspiring to become Cameroon’s president, the recognition by Forbes Africa is not just a personal triumph but a beacon of inspiration for Cameroon and the entire African continent.
