Cesar Ngomo Honoré of the leading Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement, CPDM is expected to appear in court in the days ahead.
The ardent supporter of the Biya regime is in hot water for comments he made about the armed conflict in the North West and South West regions of the country.
The regime lackey, is said to have declared on Equinox radio on August 23 2021 that the ambulances of the Ayah Foundation were caught transporting arms for separatist fighters.
“We first issued him a summons which he refused to take telling the bailiff to go and drop it at the central committee of the CPDM, narrates Ayah Ayah of the foundation.
The institution, the humanitarian added, has “chosen to take him directly to court.”
The Ayah Foundation, Ayah Abine noted, contrary to the claims made has no ambulances.
It has also on several occasions denied claims it traficks arms for separatist fighters. The foundation has other similar ongoing legal battles.
The Ayah Foundation remains one of the most prominent local humanitarian groups providing aid to victims of the armed conflict. Its reach cuts across both the affected regions as well as other areas hosting the displaced including neighbohrhing Nigeria.
