Rev. Sister Anastasia Dies Moments After Escorting Remains Of Rev. Fr. Diang

The Roman Catholic Church in Cameroon is bereaved following the demise of two religious – a Reverend Father and Reverend Sister – within 48 hours.

Local sources say Rev. Sister Anastasia of the Bamenda Archdiocese collapsed and died last night at the Mankon Convent moments after escorting the convoy bearing the mortal remains of Rev. Fr. Celestine Diang to Kumba.

She is said to have ended at Mile I Up Station Bamenda and returned to the convent only to die minutes later.

Rev. Fr. Celestine Diang of the Kumba Diocese in the South West region of Cameroon died yesterday in Bamenda in the North West Region.

Fr. Diang was serving God from the Diocese of Kumba and hails from Njinikom Boyo Division of the North West region of Cameroon .

His junior sister, Rev. Sister Mary Therese Diang was buried in August 2019, Mimi Mefo info learnt.
