Road Users decry bad state of Loum-Sole road

By David Atangana

Commuters plying the Loum-Sole road in Mungo division of the Littoral region have been decrying the bad state of the road. The say it is negatively affecting their economic activities.

The muddy road, some users told us, has made accessibility near impossible with some cars unable to move.

“The Loum to Sole road has been a major problem to both farmers and transporters,” admitted a road user.

The poor state of the road has been partly blamed on heavy duty trucks which is reportedly hindering the transportation of farm produce to the market.

“It should be noted that this Ntabaco, Sole and Yabassi areas produce large quantities of cocoa, palm oil, egusi, timber, limes orange and many more,” the road user said adding that: “the bad road nature is caused mostly by heavy duty vehicle and poor road mantenance.”

“The police, gendarmes, and the council are not helping matters by collecting money from transporters,” he lamented.
