Robbers attack hospital, stab medical staff, security officer in Bafia

A medical staff and security officer were stabbed by unidentified men who attacked a Catholic hospital in Bafia, Center Region of Cameroon.

The attack took place on Wednesday September 7, 2022 at about 4 am, at the Gondon Catholic Hospital.

According to a health official at the Gondon Catholic Hospital, “two criminals smuggled themselves into the hospital. One armed with a dagger, attacked a nurse on duty who was stabbed several times on the abdomen, arm, and leg, while resisting.”

Hearing the screams of this medical staff, the security official hurriedly rushed to the scene, but got stabbed in the chest.

“Souley, the security guard was stabbed in the chest and other parts several times, ” added the health official.

Both victims were later rushed to the Bafia District Hospital for immediate medical attention.

The Doctor in charge of the victims however assured that they are as it stands, are out of danger.
