Archbishop Roger Pirenne, a prominent figure in the Roman Catholic community, has tragically passed away, aged 88

The unfortunate event occurred at 6:44 p.m. at the Caisse Hospital in Yaoundé.

Roger Pirenne, a Catholic prelate and esteemed member of the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, was, before his death, the Archbishop Emeritus of Bertoua.

Born on August 9, 1934, Pirenne’s life has been dedicated to his faith and his service to the Church.
