Salah scores brace but Brighton denies Liverpool victory

Brighton secured a 2-2 draw against Liverpool in the English Premier League at the Amex Stadium, thanks to Lewis Dunk’s late equalizer. This outcome will likely leave both Jurgen Klopp and Roberto De Zerbi feeling relatively satisfied as they head into the international break.

Salah managed to score two goals during the first half, however, despite their efforts, Liverpool were unable to secure a victory against Brighton due to a late goal from Dunk.

Adingra skillfully took the lead for the Seagulls by catching Mac Allister off guard and expertly curling a low shot around Alisson.

The hosts dominated the first half of the game, and then Salah scored two goals. The winger skillfully placed a shot into the bottom corner, equalizing the score. He then scored his second goal from the penalty spot.

Gross forcefully brought Szoboszlai down inside the penalty box, resulting in Salah confidently converting the penalty kick against Verbruggen. Gravenberch entered the game at half-time and struck the crossbar from a short distance, followed by a shot directly at the goalkeeper.

Brighton managed to stay in the game and scored their second goal through Dunk. The center-back successfully connected with March’s free-kick and skillfully placed his strike into the net. Pedro had the opportunity to score the winning goal, but unfortunately, he kicked the ball well over the goal from inside the box.

Brighton have lost just one out of their last seven Premier League games against Liverpool (W2 D4). This is a significant improvement compared to their initial record of losing all six of their first games against the Reds in the competition.

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has not emerged victorious in any of his four encounters against Roberto De Zerbi in all competitions (drawing twice and losing twice). Throughout his managerial career, Klopp has only faced Bert van Marwijk more times without securing a win (a total of five matches).

Brighton holds the impressive record of scoring in their last 24 Premier League games, making it the longest ongoing streak in the competition. The club’s current scoring streak in league competition is their longest since March 1965, spanning 29 games.
