School violence: Bamenda takes turn as teacher, student exchange blows

A teacher has had a physical altercation with a student at the Government Technical High School in Bamenda, North West Region.

The discipline master, according to a video making rounds on social media, slapped the student who in turn retaliated.

The cause of the instructor’s reaction however remains unknown.

Their exchange was only separated by students who had been watching the scene unfold.

Despite videos of the incident trending on social media, the school is yet to make any official statement.

The latest incident brings to mind a series of other violent incidents recorded in schools across the country. Despite efforts by authorities to curb the violence, more incidents continue to be reported.
