SDF Says Soldiers Shot Fru Ndi’s Driver Saturday- Deny Attack on Chairman

The Social Democratic Front party has confirmed that the driver of the Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi was shot Saturday by security forces.

A communique issued today by the party’s scribe has revealed that, Comrade Salifou was shot with live bullets at the Bamenda Food Market on his way home.

He is currently receiving treatment, Senator Jean Tsomelou added in the statement signed in Yaounde.

The SDF has however debunked reports on social media that the Chairman of the party was attacked and kidnapped by pro-independence fighters.

“The Secretary General of the Social Democratic Front informs the national and international communities that neither any attack nor scene whatsoever took place at the National Chairman’s residence….the Chairman is currently at his residence in Bamenda where he is carrying out his normal activities…” the communique revealed.

Senator Jean Tsomelou said the SDF Chair has continued to hold concertations to seek lasting solutions to the anglophone crisis.
