Security Forces sound alarm over planned attack in Ndian as claims over Bakassi resurfaces

There is panic after a plot to invade Ndian Division, PM Dion Ngute’s division of origin was leaked by security networks.

This comes months after relative calm was said to have returned to the area.

The planned attack was leaked by a security note circulating on social media.

The alert was issued by the department of State Security to the South West Branch alerting them of such a looming attack by hired bandits.

Ndian has enjoyed peace for several months after security forces are said to have stepped up vigilance in the area.

The Security alert gave to understanding that the planned attack could be linked to agitations by some Nigerian authorities who are claiming ownership of the Bakassi peninsula which a territory of Cameroon.

Recently, Cameroon and Nigeria had agreed to return to the Hague on the issue.
