Senatorial Elections: Ruling CPDM Achieve Landslide Victory In Mezam, Bamenda

The ruling Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement, (CPDM) has emerged victorious in the just ended senatorial elections in Mezam, North West Region.

The party was able to back home 202 votes out of the 249 voters.

The Social Democratic Front SDF obtained 35 votes.

As early as 8:00 Cameroon Time, on Sunday, March 12, 2023, Municipal Councillors gathered at Up-Station to vote for those to represent them at the Cameroon Senate.

Some voters didn’t show up to exercise their civic rights – for security reasons.

8 Councillors from the CPDM party voted for the SDF.

One of the councillors of the SDF could be seen celebrating, given that they were expecting 28 votes.

The party has 28 councillors in Bamenda III under the SDF.
