Separatist fighters ‘capture’ home of Cameroon’s toppest military chief

Separatist fighters in Upper Bayang Subdivision in Manyu, South West Region of Cameroon say they have captured the home of top army chief, General Elokobi Daniel.

In a video shared by the fighters, they claim to have run-over his house, seized property and weapons and set a portion of it ablaze.

The General and the army are yet to make any response to the video or said action by separatist fighters.

Manyu Division remains a hotspot and has seen several clashes between soldiers and separatist fighters over the past four years.

General Elokobi is a top shot within Cameroon’s gendarmerie.
