Separatist Fighters Drop Coffins At Major Road Junctions In Bamenda

The population of Ntamulung, Ngeng, and Brasseries junctions in Bamenda II Sub-Division, North West Region of Cameroon have not moved an inch ever since coffins painted with the blue and white colors were deposited there by suspected separatist fighters.

The caskets that were also decorated with snail shells amongst others were dropped at the aforementioned places by those eyewitnesses say were separatist fighters breaking January 1, 2022.

Many have questioned the war strategy of separatists, one that only puts civilian lives at risk.

“I don’t know why these boys always do such things in civilian residential areas. I have the feeling that some of these groups are working with the Cameroon military against the population. They should know by now that such actions have caused many to suffer in the hands of the Cameroon military,” George Nua, an eyewitness told Mimi Mefo Info.

This is not the first time actions like these are carried out by suspected separatist fighters in neighborhoods where civilians are heavily concentrated.

On other occasions, the blue and white colors have been painted on the tarmac on several occasions thereby inviting the military to the scene.

The results have not been good as many have been arrested and huge sums collected from them while some have not been seen since they were arrested.

The population must now collaborate with state forces to wipe out these separatists who only know to terrorize them.
