Separatist leader makes mockery of Biya regime efforts to rescue Senator Regina Mundi

Separatist leader, Capo Daniel has made a mockery of what he said are moves made by the Biya regime to rescue abducted Senator Regina Mundi. In a video released today, Capo said attempts made by the government to release the politician have failed.

In a video today he said a building in Chomba was attacked by the armed forces but Regina Mundi was not there. “The military,” he said, “used blind shots and it’s not clear if they wanted to kill Mrs Mundi Elizabeth Regina or they were attempting to rescue her” .

Any other attempt to rescue her, he warned, “… may result in her death and put her security in peril”. The Senator was abducted days back by separatist fighters.

They have since demanded for the release of other political prisoners in exchange for Mundi’s release. The Senator is also member of the political bureau of the ruling CPDM party.
