Shocking: Song’s son says he will never play for Cameroon

The son of former Lions midfielder, Alexandre Song, Nolan Song has said he has never wished to play for his father’s country but will rather play for France.

The 15-year old made the shocking revelation few weeks ago.

He was speaking during a question and answer session with his Instagram followers.

A follower, inquired if he envisaged playing for the Cameroon National team, the young song responded ” Cameroon is not my Country. It’s my father’s country. I was born in France, raised in England. I feel no connection with my country, just because my dad played for the country, doesn’t mean I have to do it.”

His reaction has sparked mixed feelings amongst Cameroonians, who have tend to conceive his attitude as an arrogant one.
