Sisiku Ayuk Tabe’s lawyer arrested

Ayukotang Ndep Nkongho, one of the lawyers in the legal team of jailed separatist leader, Sisiku Ayuk Tabe and Co has been arrested.

“Reports reaching us from the kid brother of our colleague Ayukotang Ndep Nkongho says he was arrested at about 6pm in Limbe by gendarmes and taken to the Limbe company” a colleague reveals.

While in custody, the lawyer is said to have managed to communicate the information of his arrest to his younger brother before his phone went dead.

“I gathered that about some 11 lawyers led by the representative of the Cameroon Bar for the South West region are currently at his rescue” the colleague adds.

He says “His brother hinted that our colleague talked to him earlier at about 4pm that he was in the South West for a brief he got from the parents of the girl who was shot dead by the military while she was picking up snails behind their house recently.”

No official communication has been made yet about the arrest or efforts to secure the barrister’s release.
“Our colleague Ayukotang Ndep Nkongho Esq is about to be interrogated by a gendarme in Limbe at the instruction of the company commander who has left his office”.

“His crime is that he snapped a picture in the hospital with one of the boys who is receiving treatment of numerous bullet wounds shot by the
military while they were hunting snails at the back yard with Bessem Blandine shot to death by the military,” said one of the lawyers.
