Soldier beheaded in North West region

Weeks after the Ngarbuh massacre, the rate of violence in the Anglophone regions of Cameroon seems to show no signs of ending.

Apart from ten persons killed by the military in Small Babanki yesterday, North West region, a shocking video has emerged on social media showing the head of a “security officer” chopped off.

The video shows boys claiming to be Ambazonian fighters parading a street (in the conflict-hit region) with the chopped off head. “This is the head, this is a gun we have taken from him..it must be a lesson for others” some of the boys can be heard saying.

There have been a surge in violence in the restive North West and South West regions since the start of this year. Hundreds of people have been killed with the majority of them being civilians.
