Soldiers Kill Separatist fighters, Injure ‘General’ in Boyo division




Security sources in the Boyo division have revealed that two suspected separatist fighters who attempted to disturb the International Labour Day celebrations in Fundong have been killed and a dreaded self-proclaimed general in Abuh-Fundong wounded.


The incident occurred Sunday, During the event which workers in the division termed “The Boyo Labour Conclave”.

During the meeting, the Senior Divisional Officer for Boyo, Fidel Tenni challenged workers to promote peace in the area.



Meanwhile, in Bamenda chief town of the North West region, a certain Ambe Herbert was arrested along the Bamenda commercial avenue.

The boy was accused of detonating an improvised explosive.



The Labour Day unfolded within the context of the current insecurity which workers say has had a negative impact on their output.

Their worries have shifted from low pay and lack of incentives to struggling to stay alive.



Most workers of the North West region say serving in the region is risky and output is negatively affected.
