South West: Alou DO bans motorbikes, heavy-duty trucks, imposes compulsory check of coffins

Ngatchou Nzouami, Divisional Officer of Alou Sub-Division, in Lebialem Division of the South West Region, has banned the circulation of heavy automobiles.

In an order released on Friday, September 2, 2022, the DO also imposed the compulsory checks on coffins.

“The circulation of heavy automobiles is banned as from the date of signature of the present decision till further notice within Alou Sub-Division,” the release said.

Ngatchou Nzouami further indicated that: “…any moving coffin must be checked as from the date of signature of the present decision till further notice within Alou Sub-Division.”

In addition to this, the Alou Divisional Officer, equally banned the circulation of motorbikes from 6:00PM to 5:00AM within Alou.

Ngatchou Nzouami, a recently appointed Divisional Officer of Alou was officially installed on August 17, 2022.
