South West Chiefs Conference Holds Elective Assembly Friday

Members of the South West Chiefs Conference will be meeting in an elective General Assembly this Friday, March 15, 2019, we have learnt.

The meeting to take place at Mountain Hotel will begin at 10:00am.

The Divisional Officer for Buea, Paul Kouam Wokam authorised Friday’s chiefs meeting in a document signed yesterday.

The request for authorisation sent to the office of the Divisional Officer for Buea is said to have been signed by the Chief of Mondoli Village, Rev. Dr. Andrew Ekoka Molindo.

Molindo in the letter describes himself as President elect of the South West Chiefs Conference even before the elective assembly.

Since 2016, many Fako Chiefs have been battling to succeed Senator Nfor VE Mukete, the current President of the Conference who has long exhausted his mandate.
