Sports: FECAFOOT ignores petition against President, signs partnership with betting company 1Xbet

The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has signed a partnership agreement with 1Xbet, a betting company.

The signing ceremony took place yesterday, June 30, 2023, in Yaounde, political capital of Cameroon.

The contract will extend over a period of 3 years and had as priority the national selection and the professional championships.

The agreement comes after the president of Fecafoot, Samuel Eto’o, a few weeks back faced backlash for personally signing an ambassadorial deal with the betting company.

To many, the relationship with the said company is not a good example for Cameroonian youths considering the nature of the activities of 1Xbet company.
