Cameroonian musician Stanley Enow beat several renowned African musicians to win the African Artist of the year title at this year’s Urban Music Awards that held in the United Kingdom.
He dedicated the award to God, stating that he was as humbled to have received the recognition.
“This is a big sign! Super grateful to God for this recognition! The quality and calibre of the nominees speaks volumes. Humbled! African Artist of the Year a the UK @urbanmusicawards,” the singer wrote on his social media handles.
Stanley Enow beat popular Nigerian musicians like Burna Boy, Davido, Tems, Wizkid, among others, to emerge victorious.
The award adds to several other titles he has won in the past, among them MTV base award in 2014, Cameroon Academy Award, Africa Music Award and Canal d’Or Award.
Since releasing his first hit song, Hein Pere, in 2014, Stanley Enow has thrilled Cameroonians and the world at large with several hits, including My Way, which was released in 2018 and has got over seven million views on YouTube.
