One person is believed to have been severely injured following today’s heavy gunshots in Buea, in the South West Region of Cameroon.
Residents of Mile 17, 14, and 16, and all other neighborhoods in Buea were woken by heavy gunshot sounds, plunging them into unending fear.
To some residents, the gunshots were orchestrated by separatist fighters, with the aim to ensure the effective implementation of the two weeks ghost town, meant to destabilize school resumption in the Anglophone regions.
“…Thunderous gunshots at mile 14 buea now, one person has been rushed to the hospital. He was hit by a stray bullet,” a source told MMI.
This comes barely a few hours after the separatist fighters attacked a Golden Express agency bus, leaving a few persons dead, and others injured.
