A thumb of a student identified as Anaud Alexandre Mbappe has been chopped off by his schoolmate.
This happened at Government Bilingual High School Obala situated in the outskirts of Yaounde in the country’s Centre Region.
The thumb was chopped off by another student in the course of a fight. The boy used a cutlass they used earlier to clean the school.
The student is receiving medical attention at the Obala District Hospital.
This comes at a time when the dust on a 15-year-old student stabbing his mathematics teacher to death at Nkolbisson Yaounde is yet to settle.
