Suspected Killers of Florence Ayafor in military dragnet

Ten months after a video emerged showing armed non state fighters (Ambazonia boys) beheading a woman identified as Florence Ayafor, Cameroon’s ministry of defense has presented two suspected murderers of the woman.

Today, Friday July 10, 2020, the Ministry of Defence in Yaounde presented 31-year-old Niba Innocent and Nguh Roger 30-year-old as key suspects of the act that shocked humanity.

The Ministry of Defense says the presentation of the suspects is intended to show to Cameroonians and the international community that justice will be administered to all those committing atrocities in the country.

Cameroon defense forces will hand over the suspected culprits to the department of military justice for judgement.

Florence Ayafor, a prison wardress working at Bamenda Central prison was kidnapped by armed men after a funeral in Pinyin village situated less than 20 kilometers from Bamenda and beheaded on the 29th of September 2019.

At the burial of Florence Ayafor last year, family members called for justice following the brutal killing of their sister and mother.

Last week, children and other relatives of Florence Ayafor complained of threats from unknown individuals.
