The Swiss Embassy to Cameroon in Yaounde has sent a humanitarian delegation to Buea to evaluate the humanitarian situation in the region.

A statement from the Embassy website says the delegation on mission have already met key humanitarian activist, traditional rulers and some religious leaders.

During the visit, the Swiss diplomats are reported to have sealed a partnership deal with the authorities of Buea council.

Switzerland, it should be said has been keen on the armed conflict in the Anglophone regions.

Last year, the Humanitarian Dialogue, a state-owned Swiss organization had opted to mediate in ending the conflict in the troubled Anglophone regions.
