The Swiss government has restated its commitment in assisting Cameroon resolve the ongoing armed conflict in the Anglophone regions of the country.

Switzerland will continue to seek ways of mediating in the crisis in objectivity, confidentiality,” Lazzeri said after meeting with Paul Biya.

The meeting comes at the time when the award of the management of activities at the Ports Authority of Douala to a Swiss based company has been halted by President Paul Biya.

The President asked the General Manager of PAD, to wait until the Administrative Court in Douala decides on a case pitting the Port and french Company, Bollore. It is believed that Paul Biya’s visit to France and meeting with Emmanuel Macron, brought back Bollore into the bid.
