Rescuers have saved a baby who was born under rubble in the Syrian city of Aleppo, following the tragic earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday.
The newborn baby was still attached to his mother through the umbilical cord when he was rescued, Al Jazeera reported.
The baby boy was miraculously removed alive from the rubble of what should have been his home, but his mother and other family members didn’t survive, media reports said on Monday, February 6.
He was handed to his family who took him to the hospital.
At least 6,200 people had died on Tuesday in the massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday.
It is estimated that 20,000 people could die from the disaster.
