Tadu: Several Homes razed in military raid

Fresh reports coming in from Tadu, Bui Division, North-West Region, say villagers have taken to hiding as the military launched a raid in the village.

Our sources in the raided Tadu village say the military entered the village yesterday night from almost all angles of the village. The military invasion forced the villagers to flee to the bushes for their safety, leaving their property to be ransacked and some homes burnt to ashes during the raid.

It is alleged that over three persons have equally lost their lives as a result of the raid. The victims, who were two old men and a woman, were left behind when the others were fleeing for safety.

For now, our sources in hiding say they can’t return to the village as they have very little knowledge of what is going on there at the moment.
“All we see, from the bill where we are hiding, is smoke coming from our burning houses…”
