Tassang Wilfred boycotts court session in Yaounde

The trial of ten leaders of the self proclaimed state of Ambazonia serving life sentences in Yaounde has been adjourned to the 17th of September 2020.

That is the decision of Yaounde Appeal court Thursday August 20th 2020 .

According to barrister Amungwa Nicodemus; a defending lawyer ,the court said the entire collegial bench has been transferred.

At the courtroom, nine out of the 10 leaders were present. Tassang Wilfred boycotted the session. According to barrister Amungwa Nicodemus Tanyi; “Tassang will sent a letter saying he will not longer come to court until his lawyers are given access to see the detainees. He is against the fact that for seven months, lawyers have been denied access to meet their clients “The letter was not read in court because it reached late.

In a related view, lawyers defending the Nera 10 leaders through bar. Eta Bisong;former bar council president pushed through a motion in court. “The bar council president decried the fact that lawyers have been denied access to meet and talk to those they are defending. We hope that the situation will improve before September 17th 2020.” Bar. Amungwa has stated.

This is the second time Nera 10 leaders have been to the appeal court since they were sentenced to life in prison last year.
