TB Joshua in four day prayer session against COVID-19

“COVID-19, this is your end!!! Lord Jesus, You have done it before; do it again, in Jesus Christ’s name!” These are the words of popular Nigerian pastor, TB Joshua.

With Lagos where his church is located on lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, the pastor started a four day prayer session on the prayer mountain yesterday. In a video posted in his social media account, the preacher is seen on a hill praying and singing by huge rocks. “We present the nations, the world at large to you Lord. Forgive them their iniquities, forgive them their wrongs” he cries out.

The pastor’s prayer declarations are not the first on the coronavirus since it broke out. Weeks ago, he was at the center of controversy when he predicted the end of the virus, a date which had long passed. While many called him out as fake, his fervent followers defended the preacher saying the virus had been destroyed in the spirit realm.

With the number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria like in many parts of the world on the rise, the preacher himself has been largely mute on the incident. He later appeared on TV giving health tips to viewers.
