Tchiroma’s FSNC supporters allegedly burn car of resigned party comrade

Three vehicles including one belonging to a former member of the Cameroon National Salvation Front (FSNC) political party went up in flames today.

Reports say the cars were burnt in the town of Maroua, Far North Region outside a building where the party supporters held a meeting.

The member of the FSNC party owned by Vocational Training Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary is said to have resigned from the party moments before his car was set ablaze alongside two others.

Reports say his former party mates are suspected of carrying out the act, angry over his resignation.

Calm has since returned to the locality as a suspect is said to have been apprehended and is currently in police custody pending investigations.

Many have often questioned the objectives of the FSNC political party, given that its president is a sitting minister who like others always gives in to the whims and caprices of long-serving President Paul Biya.
