Bamenda residents in the chief town of Cameroon’s restive North West Region woke up this morning in fear as heavy gunshots engulf the city.
Reports from Miles 4, 5, 6 and other areas in Nkwen, Bamenda III Sub Division say activities are yet to gain steam following heavy gunshots that were heard this Thursday January 12, 2023 in the area.
It’s not clear if there is a confrontation between soldiers and Separatists — but many say “they fear leaving their homes, because they could be targeted.”
