Tension in Bandjoun as late Fotso Victor’s heir jets in from Canada

The late Fotso Victor was for long classed among Cameroon’s richest individuals due to his adequate and tactical business decisions.

But the battle for succession may ruin the millionaire’s legacy. Some family members are opposed to 28-year-old Darmien Fotso assuming his role as heir of the Fotso dynasty.

Tensions are said to have translated to physical confrontations as the heir, Darmien Fotso arrived from Canada to take over his father’s possessions.

It is increasingly becoming likely that the family misunderstanding will end up in the hands of the Cameroon justice system as signs of a nasty outcome begin to surface.

The major oppositions to Darmien Fotso as the heir are Lauren Njitap, wife of former Indomitable Lion, Geremi Njitap, and Nicky Love Maptue Fotso, newly elected Mayor of Bandjoun.

Fotso Victor’s chosen heir who lives in Canada returned to the country some days ago and headed straight for Bandjoun in the West Region to claim his rights. His arrival caused a major upset amongst his other siblings as video footage on social media showed a physical confrontation at the entrance of his father’s Bandjoun residence.

In the footage can be heard sounds of gunshots, though we cannot independently verify if anyone got hurt as a result. At the moment, all signs are pointing to a long laborious battle for supremacy.
