“The story of the return to multiparty politics cannot be written without his name.” Akere Muna pays respect to Ni Fru Ndi

Barrister Akere Muna has joined many other iconic figures to pay homage to the legacy of the late Chairman of the Social Democratic Front (SDF), Ni John Fru Ndi.

The former opposition candidate at the 2018 Presidential election says the legacy of Ni John Fru Ndi will forever remain in Cameroon’s politics.

“Ni John Fru Ndi, I have known and been linked to him for over five decades, through family, professionally, and politically. The story of the return to Multiparty politics in Cameroon cannot be written without his name in bold gold. His life is a lesson to the fact that leadership is about being served.” Barrister Muna reacted on Twitter.

The demise of the SDF Chairman has left a big void in Cameroon politics and within his party. It is only a matter of speculation on how the party would fare in his indefinite absence henceforth.

Ni John Fru Ndi died in Yaoundé on Monday 12 June 2023. He had been the SDF chairman since its creation in 1990.
