Three arrested in Yaoundé for clandestine sale of drugs

Elements of the Nlongkack Gendarmerie Brigade in Yaoundé have nabbed three individuals for their notorious dealings in illicit drugs across Yaoundé.

Their main products happened to be Tramadol and cocaine amongst others. The three boys were reportedly taken at the Marché Mfoundi after one of their victims was pressured to reveal their deals when the drug which was bought from them started taking a toll on her.

The 18-year-old girl who had consumed excess tramadol was brought by her parents to the Nlongkack Gendarmerie for questioning after they realised she was under the influence.

The girl revealed to the Gendarmes that she had been given the drug by her boyfriend. The boy in question denied dealing the drug but admitted he bought them from some other persons. It was then that he revealed the home of these drug dealers to the forces of law.

Their residence was raided and three of the individuals arrested by the Gendarmes.

The group is believed to have been dealing in the distribution of these illicit drugs all over Yaoundé.

Large stocks of Tramadol, cocaine and syringes were reportedly found in their possession, as well as huge amounts of money.

The suspects are said to have admitted to their crime and have been detained at the Gendarmerie, pending further investigations.
