Three persons have died after the collapse of Saint Marceline Parish Minkan, Yaounde Wednesday.
Christians were attending a mass when a wall of the uncompleted building under construction collapsed leaving 3 persons dead.
Several persons were injured amid reports of possible rise in death toll as it took several hours for fire fighters to intervene.
“It is shocking to see how fire fighters will take closed to a day to intervene in such an emergency situation when we are in the heart of the political capital…”a nearby resident questioned.
However, elements of the army rescue unit were present to get rid of the rubble, rescue and recover the bodies.
The nearby Parish House was almost razed; the priest who was not there at the time of the collapse, passed out when he arrived the scene and saw the gravity of the situation.
The priest is under intensive care, Mimi Mefo info has learned.
