Tokyo Olympics Qualifiers: “We are not Here in Turkey to Joke. We are going to qualify” – Indomitable Lionesses

The Girls of Coach Alain Djeumfa are currently in Turkey preparing for their crunch football encounter with Chile on April 10.

The Indomitable Lionesses will be facing the South American nation in a qualification game that should see them win a ticket to the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan in July this year.

Having failed to qualify during the Qualification Tournament before the pandemic struck when they lost to Zambia, the Indomitable Lionesses have a second chance as runner ups. They will play a playoff game with Chile on a neutral venue which happens to be Turkey, Europe.

While preparing for the game, the Lionesses and the coach have expressed utmost confidence and assured that they will do all they can to qualify for the Olympics.

One of the Lionesses, Raisa Feudjio said that “We are not going to Turkey to joke around. We are going to qualify”.

Should Cameroon win the tie against Chile, it will be only one of two African Women Football teams to participate in the tournament.
