Two suspected robbers have been apprehended by elements of the Gendarmerie in Douala, Littoral Region. The pair was caught in possession of some firearms inside a bus headed for Bafoussam in the West region.



Teachers have intensified their OTS/ Dead Chalk Protest across the country. Today, students of Government Bilingual High School, GBHS, Mabanda, in Douala flooded the streets protesting in support of their teachers. Most teachers say they won’t return to the classrooms if their work conditions are not improved.




The Head of State, President Paul, Biya has ordered the urgent disbursement of the sum of 2.7 billion FCFA to the ministries of basic and secondary education to address concerns of striking teachers. The information is the content of a release issued today evening by the Minister of State, Secretary General at the Presidency, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh. The teachers protest entered a third week today.

The Ndian Women Network, NWONE has called on government to fish out and punish perpetrators of the explosion that killed the Divisional Officer, D O of Ekondo Titi, mayor and others last week. In a statement, they network said the killings were senseless, cowardly and brutal. They called on government and separatists to cease hostilities in the Anglophone regions and give peace a chance.



The Cameroon cup finals will be played on Sunday March 13. The Presidency of the Republic today gave its accord for the game to go on. This is after football lovers have waited for several months. The game will be between PWD of Bamenda and Astres FC of Douala.
