Information from the Port Authority of Douala (PAD) has it that the Douala Seaport will be closed down on December 25, 2021, and January 01, 2022.
This information was revealed in a communiqué on December 20, 2021, by the Managing Director of the PAD, Cyrus Ngo’o.
The press release says, “The Port of Douala will be closed from Friday, December 24, 2021, at midnight to Sunday, December 26, 2021, at 6 A.M. and from Friday, December 31, 2021, at 10 PM to Sunday, January 2, 2022, at midnight.”
According to the statement, the ground support equipment and vessels that provide logistics for offshore oil activities will not be affected by the announced holidays.
According to Cyrus Ngo’o, “all the docked vessels will celebrate the new year just starting with three prolonged blasts and be dressed with signal flags from 6 AM to 6 PM.”
The Managing Director also called the attention of all security and safety services and officers, to be watchful and to report all forms of irregularities that may occur during their work time.
